Well, I still think that Hermoine should have ended up with neither Harry nor Ron, but with Percy Weasley. If you think about it, Percy is the person Hermoine has the most in common with (being annoying, arrogant, somewhat aggressive, selfish, self-righteous, smart in account of grades, both are uptight perfectionists who are overly ambitious, rude know-it-alls and love to follow rules and have troubles socializing due to their personalities plus both should have been in Slytherin IMO). Percy's ambitions to work for the Ministry of Magic could have been a quality admired by Hermoine who herself has S.P.E.W. ambitions. I would also like to think that they would rarely argue and get on other peoples' nerves by constantly correcting them and bragging with the rules. Still wonder why J.K. Rowling didn't come up with this obvious solution.
